The Style Commandments

Lets start with ten, in no particular order, then add as we need to.

1. Elegance and Style Comes From Within
It does not matter what labels you wear or how much you do or don't spend; it is how you carry yourself. If you are confident, you can be in denim & a white tee shirt and no will care, because they are busy getting to know you. “Isn't elegance forgetting what one is wearing?” Yves Saint Laurent

2. NO Patent Red Heels OR Shoes
Carolyn Biesk said "Patent red shoes/heels are for 5 year-olds and hookers." No further explanation needed, so go with berry, or Merlot shades.

3. Hem'n'Heel
As your short or skirt hem rises above your knee, the less teetering your heels should be. Of course there are always exceptions to every rule. But unless you are 18, a super model, in a music video, Beyoncé or Maria, "...honestly don’t need to see her in daisy dukes (or ‘cheekers’ as I like to call them) with black patent stilettos AT A BBQ again anytime soon." 4. Shapewear
These shaping foundations are affordable and should be in every woman’s arsenal. Boost your butt & boost your confidence. Pick yours up at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy’s & even Target. #DKNY #SPANX

5. Just before you leave your home, check yourself in the mirror and remove the last thing you adorned.
Coco Chanel said “A woman is closest to being naked when she is well dressed.” More is not better... less is more.

6. Don't Wear Fashion, Live It
Coco Chanel said “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” “Fashions fade, style is eternal.” Yves Saint Laurent

7. Simplicity
If you are feeling like you are trying to hard... it looks like it. Yves Saint Laurent said “I wish I had invented blue jeans. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity - all I hope for in my clothes.”

8. Be Natural
Coco Chanel said “Nature gives you the face you have at twenty; it is up to you to merit the face you have at fifty." Invest in the proper skin care regiment, protect your skin and learn what makes you look your best. “The best thing is to look natural, but it takes makeup to look natural” Calvin Klein

9. Be Responsible
Buying yourself something new on occasion is nice, but over indulgence can be a vicious cycle. Maybe try a excessive of self control, tame the urge to buy. “Elegance does not consist in putting on a new dress.” Coco Chanel

10. Know Your Shape
Coco Chanel said "Fashion is architecture. It is a matter of proportions." Know your body type, forgive the flaws and flatter the assets.
